Chris Liljenstolpe, CTO, Alcatel Asia Pacific
Chris Liljenstolpe is a Distinguished Engineer in the Chief Technology Officer’s office for Alcatel’s IP Products Division. In this role, Mr. Liljenstolpe represents Alcatel at various standards and operational bodies (IETF, ITU, NANOG, APRICOT, RIPE, and AIL among others), identifies opportunities for Alcatel products and solutions, consults with customers on IP and Data network design, transformation, and deployment, and evaluates industry trends.
Prior to his appointment at Alcatel Mr. Liljenstolpe served as Senior Director and Principal Network Architect for network technologies in Cable & Wireless’s Global Operations Group, where he formulated the company’s strategy on network related issues and selected, developed and implemented new technologies in the network.
Mr. Liljenstolpe’s technical career includes stints as network engineer and administrator for the US Antarctic Program and for the Colorado, US-based consulting company SSDS where he acquired expertise in the areas of network security, data communications, and firewall development
Mr. Liljenstolpe holds a B.A. degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Computer Science from of St. Olaf’s college in Minnesota and has completed post-baccalaureate work at Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska in the areas of Immunology, Microbiology, and Computer Science. |
