Prof. Whai-En Chen, National
Science and Technology Program for Telecommunications (NTP)
Whai-En
Chen received the B.S.E.E. degree from Tamkang University,
Taiwan, Republic of China, in 1997 and the Ph.D. degrees in
Computer Science from the National Tsing Hua University,
Taiwan, Republic of China, in 2002. He joined the Department
of Computer Science at National Chiao Tung University,
Taiwan, Republic of China, as a research assistant professor
in 2003.
He
has joined the National Telecommunications Project (NTP) to
develop a B3G IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) platform, since
2003.
Dr.
Chen served as a Technical Program Committee Member in the
IEE Mobility Conference 2005 and 2006, Int'l Conf. on
Internet Technology and Secured Transactions 2006, and
National Computer Symposium 2005.
Dr.
Chen is the Guest Editor of the Special Issue on IPv6
Mobile/Multimedia Applications for Journal of Internet
Technology.
His
current research interests include IPv6 translation
mechanisms, 3G IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), IP
Telecommunication, performance analysis and packet
lookup/classification mechanisms. Dr. Chen is a member of
the IEEE and ACM Computer Societies. |
