Dr. Riad Hartani, Caspian Networks

  Dr. Riad Hartani is Chief Architect with Caspian, San Jose, California, a developer of next generation networking systems. He leads the company's technology, strategy and business development efforts. Prior to that, he held senior technical and leadership positions with Nortel Networks in Canada, the Canadian Research Council in  Canada, Hitachi Labs in Japan and the French National Research Institute in France.

He obtained his doctorate in Computer Science with highest honors from the University of Paris in 1995, was a post-doctoral fellow at University of California, Berkeley and completed Execution Education programs at Stanford Business School. His major interests include networking systems design, networking architecures. Riad is also an active contributor to he IETF, ATMF, ITU-T, OIF and the IEEE and frequent invited speaker and panelist at various industry events.
